Get Claude onto your computer
Two prompts that move you off the chat window and onto Claude Code, without writing a line of anything. The first one becomes your setup guide. The second one teaches Claude your business.
If you use Claude or ChatGPT every day, you already know the ceiling. You explain your business, you get a good answer you have to copy and paste, you close the tab, and tomorrow you have explain it again. The tool cannot see your files, so you become the courier: copying things in, copying things out, all day.
Claude Code is the same Claude, running in a folder on your own computer. It reads what is in that folder and writes back into it. That is the entire difference, and it is a much bigger one than it sounds.
The name is the worst thing about it. You will not write code and you do not need to understand any.
What this is
Two prompts and about twenty minutes.
The first one turns a normal Claude chat into your setup guide. It asks whether you are on Windows or a Mac, then walks you through one step at a time, explaining every word before it uses it. If you get stuck, you tell it what you can see on your screen and it works it out with you. That is the part that usually stops people, and it is handled.
The second one goes into Claude Code once you are up. It interviews you properly about your business, writes what it learns into a context folder in plain English, and sets a standing rule that Claude reads all of it before answering anything, in every session from then on.
What you end up with
A folder on your computer with your business written down inside it, in files you can open and edit yourself. Not a profile buried in a settings screen. Plain text, on your machine, that you own.
From then on you stop briefing it. It already knows. And now it collaborates with you.
Before you start
Nothing. That is the point. You need a Claude account and about twenty minutes.
The order
- 1Open a normal Claude chat at claude.ai, the one you already use.
- 2Paste in Prompt 1 from the download. That chat becomes your setup guide.
- 3Follow it. It goes one step at a time and waits for you at each one.
- 4When it tells you to, paste Prompt 2 into Claude Code. Not back into the chat.
- 5Let it interview you. Answer properly, this is the part that does the work.
- 6Go back to the first chat and reply with the single word DONE.
- 7It then explains what you have, three things to do with it this week, and where it will not help.
Keep the file open the whole way through. You need both prompts and they go in different places.
If you get stuck
Say so in the first chat. It knows what you are trying to do and it will unstick you. That is why the setup is a conversation and not a checklist.
